This weekend we'll have a special treat. A field trip of sorts
including 3 of my favorite things -
-Hangin' out in the park (Fort Greene Park)
-BBQ (we'll roll in our portable charcoal grill and make some chicken
and veggie kebobs, burgers, etc. Feel free to bring anything you'd
like to throw on the grill)
-Dancing (on certain Sundays in the summer, there is a outdoor dance
party in Fort Greene Park called Soul Summit from 3-9. Great DJs,
great scene :)
You can also play tennis (we'll get some tennis permits) or just sit
in a captain chair and enjoy a cool beverage while listening to some
great soul.
We'll be in the park at 3 but feel free to come when you can. The
entrance is at Dekalb and Cumberland (also called Washington Park).
It's two blocks from our house. Call me to find out where we are when
you get there. 917-952-7682.
I'll bring a cooler with ice and water. As usual, we'll need
volunteers to bring wine, beer or other festive drinks and dessert!
